Freight Stories deeply appreciates the kindness of those who’ve become members. At this time, we find ourselves in an unfortunate position: we are unable to continue the production of Cargo due to time and staff constraints.

Instead of seeking individual members, our future plans will be to continue publishing the best new fiction on the web, and to proceed to file for tax-exempt status. We hope, then, to seek funding from granting organizations that exist to support arts groups like this one. The eventual end--continuing the production of great quarterly issues, plus the eventual payment of contributors--will be the same. Only the means will be altered.
