Freight Stories members get Cargo, a crate full of exclusive content sent straight to their mailboxes each month, including interviews with Freight Stories authors, features for subscribers only, and news for readers and writers. Members may choose to receive Cargo via e-mail, or sent to their mailing addresses. Download a sample of Cargo here.

You also get that warm feeling that comes from helping to promote contemporary literature, supporting the work of editors who are devoted to publishing new work by your favorite and soon-to-be favorite writers, and, with a little help from our friends, funding the publication and distribution of the first Freight Stories Yearbook, slated for late 2009/early 2010. Members also get a significant discount from the Yearbook’s cover price.

Annual memberships cost just $18, and can be purchased with checks (payable to Freight Stories) or cash sent to our mailing address (below). Memberships and donations will be met with much gratitude, but will not be tax deductible according to IRS regulations, at least until we’ve been around for three years (and maybe not then; they could tell us no, if we don’t behave ourselves). And anyway, we know that if you choose to send us money, you’ll do so because you wish to support the work you see on our pages, regardless of tax advantage.
